8 Foods You Should Never Attempt to Eat


There are so many foods on the market right now that promote “healthy”, “low fat”, and “sugar-free”, but in reality these foods can much worse than the regular products. These products contain additional additives that are supposed to mimic the flavor of the real thing. When something says “organic” or “fat-free” doesn’t mean that it is good for you. No matter what the label says, be sure to steer clear of these foods.


1. Canned tomatoes

Canned tomatoes contain BPA which is a toxic chemical that has been linked to reproductive abnormalities, neurological effects, heightened risk of breast and prostate cancer, diabetes, heart disease and other serious health issues. A couple servings of canned food can exceed the safety limits for daily BPA in children. Since tomatoes are high in acidity, it causes BPA to hold onto your food. If you want to avoid BPA, avoid canned foods or switch to brands that use glass containers.

2. Processed meats

Processed deli meats like salami, ham, and roast beef contain growth hormones, antibiotics, and other veterinary drugs. Sodium nitrate which is commonly used to preserve and as an antimicrobial agent that adds color and flavor. Nitrites convert to nitrosamines in the body, which can be potent cancer-causing chemicals. Processed deli meats contain the following harsh chemicals:

-Heterocyclic Amines (HCAs) are dangerous compounds that are created in meats and other foods that have been cooked at high temperatures.
-Polycyclic Aromatic Hydrocarbons (PAHs) are formed from processed meats being smoked.
-Advanced Glycation End Products (AGEs) are formed when food is cooked at high temperatures, including pasteurized or sterilized, it increases the formation of AGEs. This chemical can lead to oxidative stress, inflammation, and increased risk of heart disease, diabetes, and kidney disease.

3. Margarine

-Trans fats: these are considered unnatural fats and are formed during the hydrogenation process, which turns liquid vegetable oils into solid fat. This type of fat contributes to heart disease, cancer, bone problems, hormonal imbalance, and skin disease; infertility, difficulties in pregnancy and problems with lactation; low birth weight, and learning disabilities.
-Free radicals
-Emulsifiers and preservatives
-Hexane and other solvents

4. Vegetable oils

Especially canola oil is usually genetically modified and partially hydrogenated and have been linked to:
-Birth defects
-Bone and tendon problems
-Digestive disorders
-Heart disease
-Immune system impairment
-Increase cholesterol levels
-Learning disabilities
-Liver problems
-Low birth weight
-Reduced growth
-Sexual dysfunction
-Skin reactions
-Vision reduction

5. Microwaved popcorn

Microwaved popcorn is full of carcinogens, and the bad is coated with PFOAs, a chemical that has been linked to cancer.

-Thyroid disease
-Immune system problems
-Increased LDL cholesterol

6. Non-organic potatoes and other fresh produce known for high pesticide contamination

-Hot peppers
-Sweet bell peppers
-Collard greens
-Summer squash
Lowest content of herbicides
-Sweet corn
-Frozen sweet peas
-Sweet potatoes

7. Table salt

Table salt has been known to cause hypertension, but even that hasn’t stopped more than 95 percent of restaurants to stock it on tables. Table salt has been refined from sea salt while manufacturers harvest methods to strip the natural-occurring minerals and then use additives.

8. Artificial sweeteners

Studies have proved that artificial sweeteners like aspartame can stimulate the appetite, increase carb cravings, and stimulate fat storage and weight gain. Aspartame is one of the most problematic substances because it is mainly made of aspartic acid and phenylalanine. The phenylalanine has been synthetically modified to carry a methyl group, which provides the sweetness.
