African skin gets really dry this season. Whether you live in the diaspora or in the African continent, you will be facing very dry weather conditions with winter or harmattan. Here at AHM, we put together four beauty products that we have tried and tested and we know work very well on African skin. These products will leave your skin smooth and hydrated from your lips to your feet all through this season.
Lips – Body shop lip butter mango: This product smells and tastes like fruit. it has a buttery texture and leaves the lips moisturised. If you suffer from extremely dry lips however i wouldnt recommend this.
Face – Clarins Multi active day cream: This cream leaves the face soft and moisturised all through the day. It is also an anti aging cream which is an added plus and it honestly leaves your face feeling fresh and radiant. It contains botanicals that fight off pollutants. Its a bit high end for a face cream but with the results i got, i definitely would recommend this.
Body – Bio oil: I swear by this oil. It does all it says in the bottle. I use this immediately after a very hot shower. I find that it locks in moisture better that way. It most certainly hydrates the skin and evens the skin out. I like the glow it gives my skin especially when i use it over a period of time. Its also used for improving the appearance of scars and stretch marks. I know for sure it works on scars and i recommend this oil for any skin type.
Feet -hemp foot protector: This is a heavy duty foot cream which works wonders on very dry skin. It soothes and rehydrates skin and conditions nails. This cream prevents you from having scaly feet and locks in moisture.
With these four products, you will be well on your way to a smooth, hydrated winter/harmattan lovable skin.
